The Chevrolet Corvette Centennial Edition expresses racing heritage, but does so with a sleek, modern, even sinister-looking appearance. The Centennial Edition package comes exclusively in Carbon Flash Metallic, with satin-black graphics and unique Centennial Satin Black wheels and red brake calipers. The wheels are constructed of lightweight cast-spun aluminum and include a thin red outline around the perimeter of its surface on the Z06. The wheels are specific to the respective Corvette models, including 18-inch/19-inch for Coupe, Convertible and Grand Sport; and 19-inch/20-inch for Z06 and ZR1.

Magnetic Selective Ride Control, the world's fastest-reacting suspension and a technology advance initiated by Corvette, is included on all Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Centennial Edition models.

The Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Centennial Edition also features special badges that signify Chevrolet's racing history. A graphic logo featuring an iconic image of Louis Chevrolet appears on the B-pillars, the center caps of the wheels, and the center of the steering wheel. The seat headrests also carry an embossed centennial logo.

Aficionados will note one other small detail: The historic crossed flags badge contains a small adaptation, with "100" in place of the traditional fleur-de-lis symbol, only for the Centennial Edition.

The exterior color scheme is reinforced inside the car, with the Ebony leather-wrapped instrument panel and doors complimented by red stitching also on the steering wheel, seats, console and shifter. The seats feature microfiber suede accents on seats, steering wheel, shifter and armrests, which were first used on the 2011 Corvette Z06 Carbon Limited Edition.

The Chevrolet Centennial Edition will be available on all Corvette models via order code ZLC. Pricing will be released this summer prior to the start of availability.

Rinspeed says instead of a car right from a mobility system that adapts to the desired use. "Rolling backpacks" so-called uniaxial packs meet daily needs, depending on the different tasks and are easily "docked" to the vehicle.

Essentially a convertible version of the LP550-2 Balboni, the Spyder version retains the 550-bhp 5.2-liter V-10 engine and rear-wheel-drive configuration (the 2 in the car’s name stands for 2-wheel drive). The paddle-shift e-Gear will be the only available transmission.

Chrysler Group introduced the new 2013 Dodge Dart Monday at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The compact car resurrects the classic Dart name in the form of a new Alfa Romeo-based car.

The 2013 Dodge Dart will get a base 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 160 horsepower, Dodge says in a statement. The second engine is a 1.4-liter MultiAir turbocharged four-cylinder that also produces 160 horsepower. Dodge says MultiAir technology provides “up to a 15 percent increase in low engine rpm torque and a 7.5 percent improvement in fuel efficiency.” The third engine is a 184-horsepower, 2.4-liter four-cylinder MultiAir. Dart buyers will have three transmissions to choose from: a six-speed manual, six-speed automatic and a six-speed automated manual.

Standard safety features include 10 airbags, anti-lock brakes, electronic brake-force distribution and traction control. The Dart will offer an optional blind spot monitoring system, rear cross path detection, rear park assist and backup camera.

The exterior’s sleek styling competes with the standout looks of affordable small car rivals like the Hyundai Elantra and Ford Focus. “The Dart succeeds because it starts with a widened and lengthened Giulietta platform, and adds a body so voluptuous even an Italian might blush,” The New York Times’Wheels blog reports.

The 2013 Dart’s interior will have optional features such as Bluetooth, navigation, a heated steering wheel, push-button start, a USB port with iPod integration and satellite radio.

The 2013 Dodge Dart will be available in five trim levels (SE, SXT, Rallye, Limited and R/T) and Dodge says production will start in the second quarter of 2012. The Detroit Free Press reports that the Dart will start at $15,995.

In addition to the exterior color and interior trim options, the 2013 Dodge Dart offers seven wheel options, three engine options and three transmissions, as well as a slew of available exceptional or segment-leading features, including:
