TAWA declares 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee as the best SUV
According to Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA), the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee is the best sport utility vehicle (SUV) in the market today.
TAWA also held their Texas Truck Rodeo and offers the journalists of automotive across the state of Texas to come test the sport utility vehicles, crossovers and latest trucks on the market. Moreover, Texas Truck Rodeo held this event yearly.
In addition, they held this kind of event to help people to choose their favorite vehicle from every class to provide an array of awards. The 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee is the Texas’s fifth SUV that had been announced.
This also marked for the frits time the Chrysler Group that received this award for one of their best sport utility. Toyota FJ Cruiser in 2006, Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid in 2007, Ford Expedition King Ranch in 2008 and Mercedes-Benz GL 350 BlueTEC in 2009 are the previous winners of SUV of Texas.
Furthermore, the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee got a mid-cycle overhaul and with the fresh look came the latest engine of Pentastar V6. Now leveled across the lineup engine of Grand Cherokee, and for the first time, it mark that there is not a usual V8 everywhere in the lineup of Grand Cherokee, but the 3.6L V6 provides the drivers a 260lb-ft of torque and 290hp while also compliant 22mpg on the highway and 16 around the town for 4WD models.
