Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale |
The Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale revealed at the IAA 2011 is based on the successful race car from the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo, the world’s fastest single-make series. Both the racing and road versions share the same V10 powerplant, which is used with no modifications and a robotized e-gear six-speed transmission controlled by steering wheel paddles bears transmission duties.

The manually variable rear spoiler is capable of increasing dynamic load; upto 3 times that of a LP 560-4. A quick-release system helps pop the removable carbon-fibre composite hood. At 1340 kilograms, it edges the LP 560-4 by 70 kg. The V10 generates 562bhp at 8000 rpm and 540 Nm at 6500 rpm.
The 0 to 100 km/h sprint is clocked in 3.4 seconds and it reaches 200 km/h in 10.4 seconds, eventually topping out at 320 km/h. Upon request it will adorn the historically suggestive “Rosso Mars” finish, the traditional Italian racing colour.

The ultra-lightweight 19” wheels which save 13 kgs are wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyres. Optional equipment include carbon-ceramic brake system, tubular roll cage, 4-point safety belts and fire extinguisher, sat-nav, Bluetooth, an anti-theft system and a lifting system that raises the front axle. Only 150 units of the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale will be built. We conclude, fatter the name faster the car?!
